Orchard View Consultation Information
Dear Parent/Carer, Community Member, Stakeholder,
Consultation from 23rd September 2024 to 4th November 2024 on Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust entering into a funding agreement with the Department for Education (Secretary of State)
You may be aware of the new Kingsbrook residential development on the eastern edge of Aylesbury which will create approximately 2450 homes and that a planning application has recently been submitted for a new primary academy to be built to serve the families living in the Orchard Green village of this development. This new primary academy is scheduled to open at the start of September 2025 and will be called Orchard View Primary Academy.
Orchard View Primary Academy will be joining Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust. Orchard View Primary Academy’s planning application is for a 3 form entry primary academy offering pupil places from Nursey up to Year 6, with 12 place special education needs additionally resourced centre to support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Orchard View Primary Academy will initially be constructed as a 2 form entry primary academy offering places from Nursery up to Year 6 and may expand in the future subject to need.
In September 2025, it will offer 30 places in Foundation Stage (Reception), 30 places in Year1 and 30 places in Year 2. All staff at Orchard View Primary Academy will be committed to delivering inspirational learning opportunities that are fun, purposeful and challenging, as every child has the potential to achieve and excel and make positive contributions to life in modern Britain.
This means that Orchard View Primary Academy will:
- Provide an excellent primary education for all children attending the academy
- Deliver the highest standards of attainment and outcomes for all children
- Be a member of the Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust, drawing on the expertise and capacity of the Trust to deliver outstanding provision
- Be a key focal point of the new local community and help it thrive
- Meet the individual needs of children and their families within a Trust-wide framework based on a proven knowledge and understanding of excellent teaching and learning
- Recognise the need for diversity by ensuring the individuality of the academy within the Trust
- Provide an environment where everybody matters: children, parents and staff.
In order for Orchard View Primary Academy to open, Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust must enter into a contract (called a funding agreement) with the Department of Education. This is a standard document used by all schools and academies and is a key legal step towards opening. The co-operation and participation of all involved will maximise the success of the opening of Orchard View Primary Academy and will help mitigate against any concerns raised. We would therefore welcome your feedback during this formal consultation phase.
