Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to Aktiva Camps Breakfast and After School Club @ Kingsbrook View Primary Academy. We are delighted to be working at school to provide fantastic extended schools services and look forward to working with you and your children to create a stimulating and exciting service in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

Aktiva Camps Breakfast Club and After-School Club services are hosted on the school premises. Breakfast Club will start from 7.45am and After School Club from the end of the school day until 5.30pm every day children attend school. The Aktiva sessions will be based on site in the main school hall with drop off and pick up at the school office main entrance. There will be an Aktiva sign with the phone number of the Aktiva team available on the gate to the main reception. Please call if a staff member is not at the door to drop or collect your child.

Breakfast Club
We will be providing a choice of breakfast cereal, fruit, bagels, toast. We cater for dietary requirements which we ask you for when you register with Aktiva. Aktiva is a multichoice multiactivity organisation. Weather dependent we will be getting them active outdoors with a range of activities for them to choose. We will also have indoor activities to get them ready for the day ahead. When school starts, children will be taken to their classrooms to register with their teachers.

After School Club
In the afternoons, the team will collect year group from their classes. The Aktiva team arrange the children into their key stage with a substantial snack being served of fruit, vegetables, dips and sandwiches. Children are encouraged to help us plan our menus and contribute to selecting their favourite things. We pre-plan each session with multiple activities for the children to participate in (tennis, football, bench ball, arts and crafts just to name a few. Dependent on numbers at each session, children will be zoned into key stage or year groups in the space that we are using.
Sample Session Itinerary Daily Schedule 3pm - Staff on site 3.00 – 3.20pm – Preparation of venue (setting up activities, snack, register collection) 3.20 - 3.40pm – Collect children from classes
3.40 – 4.15pm – Multi activity sessions board games /Lego/Role play/play dough/free play 4.15 - 4.35 – snack 4.35 – 5.20pm – multi-choice, multi activity sessions
• Indoor - Art and Design - Paper Mache/Collage /Painting - Adult led.
• Outdoor sports session - Hockey, Netball, Football, Touch Rugby, Rounders Adult led. 5.20 – 5.30pm – prepare children for collection while light activities are taking place

To Book Aktiva Services

Annual pass – Our booking system will take the number of sessions you have booked for the year and calculate the yearly price and divide this into 11 equal payments. You can pay with these using childcare vouchers, debit/credit card and standing orders.

Ad Hoc Sessions
With Ad Hocs, you can book up to the previous day 11pm for Breakfast Club and on the same day until 1pm for After School Club. This gives parents flexibility to use our services as it suits your timings. Places are subject to availability and the 1pm cut off is strict and non-negotiable as the team need to organise suitable cover depending on the number of children attending. Ad hoc sessions are also subject to availability.

1 month written notice to cancel/reduce days for annual passes. 2 weeks written notice is required to cancel or change days on a single session booking. All cancellation requests will be held in credit on your account. These must be delivered in writing to bookings@aktivacamps.com

The Aktiva staff do not have access to the school medical room.
We will not be able to accept your children into service unless we have essential medication your child requires such as, Inhalers or Epi pens.
