Growing Together to Achieve Dreams

Academy Pupil Council

Our Academy Council is the ‘voice of all the children at Kingsbrook View Primary Academy!

The Academy Council make a positive contribution to the academy environment and ethos, in line with our values, by helping to make decisions that will make our Academy an even better place to learn. We want our children to aspire to be confident, self-assured members of the community, with the ability to interact socially and act responsibly. We aim to develop our pupil’s knowledge, skills and understanding of how to contribute to society as a whole and what it means to be an active citizen, demonstrating integrity and respect. We want to develop pupils’ recognition of themselves as worthwhile individuals, with a right to be heard and allow the children to have a ‘voice’ and to share their opinions, working in partnership with others

We discuss our ideas at our meetings and then start working on changing things. We have to ensure we are good role models in the Academy, good listeners when sharing ideas and confident speakers when speaking to our classes and in our meetings.

The Academy Council also helps organise many exciting Academy events. Click here to view Academy Council policy

ACADEMY Time Capsule Event

In the summer term, Kingsbrook View Primary Academy Council members were invited by Taylor Wimpey to take part in a time capsule burial! This was to celebrate the completion of the new Aston Reach development.

The children made a range of different items to go into the capsule such as letters for future children, images of equipment we use in the Academy, drawings and origami.

Representatives of the Academy Council attended the event with key members of the Taylor Wimpey development team.
